We were founded on a simple observation: the tools most of biomedicine uses to reason about disease were built for a world with far less data than the one we're now in, and far less computational capacity to make sense of it. Population averages, single-target hypotheses, and static snapshots were reasonable defaults when the alternative was analytically intractable. They're no longer the only option — and we don't think they should be treated as the default anymore.
What we're building
Instructional Biology Inc. is developing a connected technology stack rather than a single product. At the reasoning layer, our Advanced Science AI Platform (ASAP) organizes biological evidence into a structured, hierarchy-aware graph — the Signaling Cascade Knowledge Graph, or SCKG — so that relationships between signals, receptors, cascades, and outcomes can be reasoned about explicitly rather than inferred from a flat list. At the physical layer, the Markosian High-Fidelity Bio-Processing Protocol (MHFBP) is a controlled, lower-temperature approach to preserving the native structure of complex biological material during processing, in contrast to legacy methods that trade structural fidelity for industrial throughput.
These two layers are meant to work together: a reasoning system is only as good as the evidence it has access to, and evidence that's been structurally degraded during processing is evidence a reasoning system can't fully use. We think closing that gap — both computationally and physically — is where the real opportunity sits.
How we think about the company itself
Instructional Biology Inc. was formally founded on February 5, 2026, building on more than a decade of prior work across neuroscience, computational data architecture, and biological operations by our founder, Boris Markosian. The company is based in Oceanside, California, and operates as a research-stage organization — meaning our platform and programs are under active development and have not completed clinical development. We say that plainly and repeat it often, because we think a company built around evidence-aware reasoning should hold itself to the same standard of stating what's known, what's promising, and what's still unproven.
We're building toward pharmaceutical, research, and clinical partnerships — not around them — and we'd rather earn trust slowly with a public site that under-claims than lose it quickly with one that doesn't.
