B2B Clinical brings Instructional Biology's digital twin to hospitals, clinics and prescribers. This is the Therapeutic Twin: it works only inside limits the prescriber authorizes, and doses only inside an envelope the prescriber has ratified.
Where It Stands
B2B Clinical is at Discovery, the first of the seven stages on Our Pipeline: Discovery, Development, Testing, Prototype, Ready for Demo, IND (if required) and Sales.
What a Digital Twin Is
Engineers have used digital twins for decades: a living computational model of a jet engine, continuously updated from sensor data, that lets you ask what happens if you push it harder without pushing the real engine. Applied to a person, a digital twin is a model of that individual's own biological signaling, built from their own data and updated as new signals arrive, instead of one snapshot taken at one appointment. Digital Twins: A Model That Learns With You explains the idea in full.
How the Loop Is Bounded
A standard treatment plan is calculated once against a population average. The therapeutic-regulation system behind the Therapeutic Twin revises a plan from measured individual response instead, and only inside an envelope a clinician sets in advance. A revision is proposed only when a person's observed response diverges meaningfully and persistently from their expected trajectory, never from a single noisy reading. Any signal outside the envelope goes to a human reviewer instead of triggering a change.
Two safety rules are built into the design: fast revisions are checked against slow markers, and when data stops, the system falls back to a state the prescriber has defined. Closed-loop here means bounded, reviewed revision, not an autonomous device making its own medical decisions.
The digital twin is a multi-year research direction. Instructional Biology does not currently offer a digital twin product or any individualized clinical prediction.
The Segment That Protects It
B2B Clinical is protected by the Digital Twin segment of our IP portfolio. The patient digital twin is claimed in U.S. Patent Application No. 19/793,487 (claim 26). The claims are pending and have not been examined.
The Market Behind Its Segment
Each segment of our IP portfolio addresses a market that independent research firms already measure. The table gives that market's latest published size, its forecast and its compound annual growth rate (CAGR), from the same sources as Ten Revenue Streams.
| Market and segment | Size | Forecast | CAGR |
|---|---|---|---|
| Digital twins in healthcare [1] Digital Twin | USD 2.5 bn (2025) | USD 33.4 bn by 2035 | 30.0% |
These are estimates of whole markets, not Instructional Biology revenue or forecasts.
