B2C Wearables is Instructional Biology's consumer stream: wearable signal processing that turns the readings from a person's own wearable into a personal, informational report, with no recommendation to start, stop or change any medicine. This is the Instructional Twin, which informs a person's own choices and never administers anything. It is a separate system from the twin we are building for hospitals and prescribers in B2B Clinical.
Where It Stands
B2C Wearables is at Development, the second of the seven stages on Our Pipeline: Discovery, Development, Testing, Prototype, Ready for Demo, IND (if required) and Sales.
Why Wearables
For most of medical history the body has been measured in snapshots: a blood pressure reading at an appointment, a fasting glucose test, a ten-second ECG strip. Continuous glucose monitors, smartwatches and patch sensors now record physiology every few minutes, for weeks, while people live their normal lives. The measurements that come out of them are called digital biomarkers. Wearable Health Monitoring and the Rise of Digital Biomarkers covers the landmark studies and their limits.
How the Twin Reads a Wearable
Our digital twin is designed to read wearable data in three steps: ingestion, calibration and estimation. The care is in the layers. A wrist sensor does not measure heart rhythm directly; it measures tiny changes in blood volume under the skin, and an algorithm turns that signal into a heart rate. The number on the screen is only as good as each layer beneath it, and we treat validation as a process, not a stamp.
The Segment That Protects It
B2C Wearables is protected by the Digital Twin segment of our IP portfolio. The patient digital twin is claimed in U.S. Patent Application No. 19/793,487 (claim 26). The claims are pending and have not been examined.
The Market Behind Its Segment
Each segment of our IP portfolio addresses a market that independent research firms already measure. The table gives that market's latest published size, its forecast and its compound annual growth rate (CAGR), from the same sources as Ten Revenue Streams.
| Market and segment | Size | Forecast | CAGR |
|---|---|---|---|
| Digital twins in healthcare [1] Digital Twin | USD 2.5 bn (2025) | USD 33.4 bn by 2035 | 30.0% |
These are estimates of whole markets, not Instructional Biology revenue or forecasts.
